You Can Buy Silver Bars for Your Retirement
One of my friends just told me the other day that I can buy silver bars for my IRA account. I had previously purchased a small amount of gold coins for my IRA, but I did not think much about silver coins since there is such a wide differential in the prices between the two metals. I thought only US minted bullion coins could be put into an IRA, but I was wrong.
So I just purchased five 100 oz silver bars for my IRA, and now it is a bit more diversified. I was fortunate to have bought gold for my IRA and have reduced some of the volatility from the stock market, and now adding this silver should also help as it is also seen as a safe hard asset and does not derive its worth from the value of the US dollar.
